Description

This is a less than desirable, unmaintained route that one can take to access the Carson River Hot Springs without actually crossing the river. We say "less than desirable" because although this route traverses some interesting forest areas, it also has a lot of rocks... like, sharp, nasty, stupid rocks. The highly unfriendly type. This makes for a really long, uncomfortable trek through that area, which is pretty much the entire middle section of the trail.

Trail Recommendations / Other Info

For the sake of your organs and teeth, AIR DOWN before driving this road. We'd also highly recommend having a spare tire and the means to conduct a trailside tire change, or at least a tire repair kit. Some clearance may be necessary to handle the rocky areas.
