Description

A fun and scenic forest trail connecting Highway 50 near the California town of Strawberry, all the way down to Highway 88 at Caples Lake. The route features several areas that can be more challenging for some. There are many scenic overlooks of the terrain below, including a great spot toward the south end that overlooks Caples Lake.

Note: At the end of the trail is the Caples Lake Maintenance Station. This facility has barracks that are sometimes occupied by firefighters. Please keep the noise level down while stopped here.
